Carbury School commissioned a mural as a tribute and lasting memory of Alan Moffitt. The very talented Sharlene Kemple produced a design that consists of glazed ceramic tiles. Each pupil and staff member made an individual tile for the mural. The finished piece is a truly wonderful mosaic picture of the school. The Moffitt family joined the staff and pupils on the last day of term to unveil the finished work.

 

Alan was an inspirational teacher and principal who guided the school through many changes and developments over the last twenty seven years. Both as a teacher and principal, Alan was highly respected. He was always deeply committed to the development and success of Carbury School. He has left us with an enduring legacy in the beautiful school we are privileged to enjoy today. Alan's kindness and compassion for all the staff was something we relied upon, he was a true friend to all of us.
