Second class conducted a science experiment to research how plants respond to light. We planted three pots of cress seeds and placed them in to boxes.
Box A had a lid so the seeds got no light. Box B had a hole in it's lid so that seeds got light from above. Box C had a lid and a hole in the side so that the seeds got light from the side.
The pupils watered the seeds each day and observed the developments. At the end of the week, the pupils were excited to see that the seeds had all grown towards the direction of the light, and the seeds with no light had not grown at all.
The pupils then harvested the cress and enjoyed eating their produce with crackers and cheese.
