Senior Infants and First Class had a very special trip to the library to meet the brilliant illustrator Niamh Sharkey.
Niamh read us a lovely story called ‘Penguin TV’ which was written by her husband, Owen Churcher and illustrated by Niamh herself. We really enjoyed listening to the story.
After the story, Niamh taught us how to draw penguins. She showed us each step, and then we all drew our own penguins. There were waddling, sliding and happy penguins everywhere!
We had a great time and loved learning from a real illustrator. Thank you to Niamh for such a fun and creative morning!
