Local History Projects in Fourth Class
23rd Jan 2026
Fourth Class has been busy creating fantastic projects and presenting a wide range of local history topics to their classmates. The projects covered Queen Maeve’s grave, the Spanish Armada, Sligo Jail, the famine graveyard, Siberry’s old Teahouse, the history of farming in Sligo, and many more. The children researched their work using photographs, the internet, books, interviews, and census records. Well done to all the children—everyone is now more aware of and proud of our local history.
