Pupils in 6th Class learned about the various moon phases so that over the Christmas holidays, they could look up and impress with their knowledge and vocabulary about the moon.
We learned that the phases are New moon, Waxing crescent, First quarter, Waxing gibbous, Full moon, Waning gibbous, Third quarter and finally, Waning crescent. And then the cycle begins again. Look at some of the pictures of pupils learning the phases by creating Oreo cookie versions of the them. A very enjoyable learning experience and believe it or not, some pupils even ate their moon phases afterwards.
