Science Week in 3rd Class

18th Nov 2022

Carbury's 3rd class were very busy this week participating in all sorts of activities for science week. We first attended a brilliant workshop on sustainable energy, followed by our Shared Education gathering on Monday with St Clare's in Manorhamilton. We really enjoyed Professor Plunger's show and our playtime with the pupils from St. Clare's.

We also spent some time this week taking fingerprints and working as forensic scientists, trying to solve the mystery of the stolen school cup. Ms McMahon was our top suspect!

Finally, we learnt some facts about Albert Einstein and created some cartoon creations of the theoretical physicist. We ended the week with an experiment creating lava lamps using oil, water, food colouring and effervescent tablets.

Enjoy the video and collection of pictures below summing up our week!
