September Walkabout with Senior Infants

7th Oct 2022

A warm autumn’s day is not to be wasted, so the Senior Infants headed off on a walkabout. Armed with our clipboards and pencils, we busily noted the many different objects - big, small and even tiny - as we across the Garavogue River. We were delighted to spot some conkers that had fallen from the horse chestnut tree – we even saw some in the river! We noticed a tiny little spider working hard on its web. We made tree bark rubbings, while remembering our Green School’s motto ‘to leave no trace’!

We all agreed it was a lovely way to make the most of the last of the warm sunshine.
