Second Class enjoyed a wonderful day in Scoil Réalt na Mara, where they had the opportunity to spend time with their new friends. The day was filled with engaging activities that sparked both creativity and excitement. During one activity, the children met Helena Golden – ‘The Willow Woman’, who introduced them to the art of weaving. They learned how to use willow to create simple woven pieces, gaining a hands- on appreciation for this traditional craft. The children also took part in an energetic drumming session under the guidance of skilled drummer – Peter Crann. They had great fun learning basic rhythms and techniques, filling the air with music and laughter. It was a memorable day for everyone involved, full of learning, creativity and enjoyment.
