We’re delighted to be taking part in Skip Around Europe, a fantastic initiative that promotes participation, inclusion, and fun, while offering lots of opportunities for learning and movement along the way.
Over the course of the challenge, all classes across every level are encouraged to include a short skipping break in their daily routines. The aim? To work together as a class and as a whole school to clock up as many skips as possible, helping us “travel” to capital cities right across Europe!
As one of the first schools to register, we were thrilled to receive a set of skipping ropes. These have been added to our class equipment boxes and have already proven to be a big hit with the children.
The initiative kicked off this week and will run for two weeks. Pupils head outside at different times of the day to practice their skipping skills, and the excitement is clear to see! It’s a wonderful way to stay active, build teamwork, and have fun while learning about the geography of Europe.
We’re already well on our way—Europe, here we come!
