World Book Day

11th Mar 2026

Our school had great fun celebrating World Book Day on Friday 6th March. First Class marked the occasion by dressing up as characters from their favourite books.

The pupils shared and talked about their favourite books during circle time. It was wonderful to hear about the different stories the pupils enjoy and to see their enthusiasm for reading.

We also got to visit the hall for a special book swap which was kindly organised by the Parent’s Association. Families in the school were very kind to donate pre-loved books. Each pupil got to choose three different books to bring home and enjoy.

We also learned that World Book Day is celebrated on the birthday of Hans Christian Andersen. It was a fantastic day with lots of reading and lots of fun!
