During March, Junior Infants learned all about the garden centre.
- Role play: the children imagined they were customers, gardeners, shops keepers and managers in a garden centre.
- Playdough: using playdough, the children made different objects they had learned about e.g., shovel, rake, spade etc.
- Cutting: they learned about how plants grow and what they need to grow. The children cut out the steps and put them in the correct order.
- Sand: the children had to find items related to the garden centre, hidden in the sand.
- Construction: the children built their own garden centres.
- Art: using cotton wool, they made clouds. They also painted daffodils for spring.
- Writing: in their Aistear copies, the children wrote and drew pictures related to the garden centre.
