Physiotherapist Visit

27th Apr 2017

We learn about the importance of exercise and physical activity with a visit from a physiotherapist.

Lauren’s Mum, Jennifer, came to Carbury as part of Active Schools Week. As a physiotherapist Jennifer shared some of her expertise with us. We learned how importance exercise is for healthy bones and muscles. We discussed ways in which children could exercise. Everyone can take part in physical activity and it’s recommended that all children spend 60 minutes being active each day. Jennifer also explained how important it is to warm up before exercise and to cool down afterwards. It is important in particular to stretch our muscles after activity and we learned hamstring and calf stretches. Our sincere thanks to Jennifer to providing such an educational and informative session.
