Parents coach Tag rugby for Active School Week

As part of Active School Week two parents, Ken Draper and Patrick Whelan, came to coach a Tag Rugby session with 3^rd and 4^th classes. Along with Sligo Rugby Club’s development officer Gavin Foley these energetic Dads taught us the rules of Tag Rugby, taught some skills and refereed some games. Tactics and teamwork are very important and of course everyone wanted to score a try! While some pupils had experience of Rugby outside of school, for many this was their first opportunity to play. Our thanks to Patrick and Ken for their help and for kindly volunteering their time. The session was a great success and we look forward to holding similar events again in the future.
